Our Mission

The New Jerusalem Community Development Corporation, Inc. (NJCDC) is committed to providing services to help empower and improve the lives of residents of Miami Dade County and South Florida by providing resources and self-advocacy skills to attain and support self-sufficiency.

Our History

New Jerusalem Community Development Corporation (NJCDC) started as a vision to combat deterioration in our community by expanding opportunities available to minorities and low-income children and families.  June 30, 2002 marks the day when the NJCDC moved from a thought in the mind of our founder, Elder Kenneth A. Duke, to an independent non-profit organization with a committed Board of Directors and staff.  Today the NJCDC has implemented social service programs for children and youth.  The NJCDC has partnered with other nonprofits to educate and empower future homeowners.  Because of exceptional dedication and enthusiasm from our Board, staff, program participants, parents, and volunteers, we remain committed to impact our community in a positive way.
